Sony will not give money for a PlayStation without Linux

Sony has recently removed the ability to install Linux (and other systems) on their third console, Play Station Now, said that it will not give back the money that the customers who choose to buy a PS3 just because of this option.
The EU directive 1999/44/EC says that products must meet the conditions that the seller promised at the time of purchase.
With this right exercised one of Amazon's customers, who bought through the PlayStation online store, so repayment received 20% of the purchased equipment in compensation.
European law obligation to comply with the directive requires the seller, not the manufacturer. Sony have benefited from this provision renouncing any claims on the PS3 and the members said they did not intend to compensate retailers for any loss caused by the need to compensate for the lost functionality.
